Our team of passionate and experienced instructors offers a full range of SSI and CMAS diving courses, from beginner to professional levels – and all right from the beach!
At Calypso, we believe in comprehensive, quality training that’s both educational and friendly. Theory is always taught in person by your instructor, either in our beachfront classroom or with your feet in the sand.
All our diving courses are available in English, German or French, so you can learn in the language that makes you feel most comfortable.

- Dives from the beach available all day: Dive directly into the clear waters of Tanote Bay, home to one of the island’s most beautiful coral reefs and rich marine life.
- Daily boat departures at 9:00 am: Join our boat every morning for two unforgettable dives at Koh Tao’s best sites.

Start your day with an adventure at sea!
Meet at 8:30 am at Calypso to gear up, then climb aboard the Calypso boat at 9:00 am for a morning exploring two of Koh Tao’s best dive sites.
Each day, we choose our dive sites according to sea conditions and the experience level of our divers, to ensure the safest possible underwater experience.
Our aim is to explore marine life, not crowds. If a dive site is too crowded or conditions are less than ideal, we’ll go somewhere better. That’s why we often dive on Koh Tao’s quieter east coast, where the reefs are pristine and peaceful.
For greater clarity: our prices include equipment, certification of dive levels and online courses available on the SSI application.
Prices are in Baht Thai and payment is preferably in cash. However, we accept payment by credit card (a 5% surcharge will be applied to the final price).
Fun Dives
If you have an Open Water Diver certification (or higher) and have dived within the last 6 to 12 months, you are welcome to join our daily recreational dives. If it’s been a little longer since your last dive, a refresher session may be recommended to ensure your comfort and safety underwater.
For your safety, a 100 THB insurance fee will be added to your first fun dive. Insurance is included in the price of all our courses.
